ANIMAL ABUSE
For my project, I used colored pencils and markers. I picked this world issue because the animals are being abused in many ways. This problem isn’t solving quickly. People are trying to help by making an animal welfare and they are giving their own money to a foundation but that’s not enough for now. Many people from all over the world are helping and adopting animals. But other people are abusing animals and don’t care about what they feel.
I draw a puppy with a broken paw and I put letters behind saying ‘STOP ANIMAL ABUSE’. I used dark colors for the dog, same as with the letters. For the background I used light color, like yellow to make the letters behind the puppy be seen. I made the puppy look poor and sad so he looks neglected. By adopting a dog or any animal, you won’t change the whole world but the whole world will change for that one animal. Your help means a lot!

It is wonderful how everyone has been impacted by your work. It is well done and sends a very clear message about animal cruelty.

I teach with Emily Cook in a Chicago suburban school. While my students have learned about global issues in the past, this project allowed them to see that these are not problems that people in other places in the world have to deal with, but rather, that these are world problems, and since we all have a civic responsibility to the world, these are our problems too.
