Everyday people are starving to death because of not having enough food or clean water. One third of the people in Sub-Saharan Africa are malnourished. Without the needed nutrition they can’t survive or focus on what should be important to them like education. Children shouldn’t have to worry about where their next meal will come from or how they can support their siblings. 23 million people in Africa are being threatened by starvation. In Africa rains don’t come until June leaving a large time for drought. During this drought crops can’t be harvested or made into food. Also the rains don’t always come. In some cases little rain falls during the rainy season starving many many people. Starvation is important to me because their are so many people going to bed hungry and so many people can help. If people spread the word and can get this issued more noticed millions of lives could be saved. I’m doing my part and you can do your part to. Help donate and make a difference in the world.

I used colored pencils, metallic markers, and black pen for my hexagon. I showed a person holding an empty bowl to show hunger and used supportive/negative words in the background to show what's happening and what's being done.

I think it really shows how people are begging for food, and how the people in Africa just getting the food, and can't feed for their family,or themselves. It really opened my view of how we live.

I like how you used the words to show all the different ways this epidemic affects or is affected by.

I like how you wrote all the words on it. It gave me a better idea of why people are going hungry and what we can do to help.

I like how you drew the bowl, it made it seem like there has been no food for a while, and that the problem is always there.
