Pollution
is a terrible thing. It creates an unhealthy environment with toxic air,
unhealthy water, and dangerous chemicals. The worst pollution is prevalent in
India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Nearly 37 million children are being harmed by
polluted air and can catch fatal diseases from it. Thankfully, we can attempt
to stop it. Just doing something as easy as walking or carpooling to school can
help the air. Something a little bit bigger that you could do can be petitioning for a company to stop dumping waste into a freshwater source. Some things that companies are doing are creating eco-friendly products, making factories more efficient, and having large factories not dumping their waste into clean water sources.This affects me because pollution may cause me to get a disease and die at a younger age. I hope that people see this and it makes them think twice about driving to an activity that is within biking or walking range.
The picture on my hexagon shows a factory that is sending toxic fumes into the air.I used a sharpie to color the building, colored pencils for the sunset and the fumes, and I cut the white pollution letters out of paper. Behind the fumes is a sunset that is being ruined from the pollution. This is a negative effect of pollution.
