War

War is a problem that not only affects every country throughout the world, but almost every person throughout the world. Almost everybody has known someone in the war, whether they wrote to someone involved in the war during a class, which I did in 3rd grade, or are neighbors with a person involved in the war, which I am. This is important to me because I’ve seen what it feels like if you lose someone through meaningless fighting, the man I wrote to in 3rd grade, died in battle just weeks after he had wrote a letter to every single person in my class. My teacher personally knew him, but not very well, and went through a lot of trouble in that time. I can’t even imagine what it would have been like to be his mother or father. I can’t believe that what happened in third grade happens daily around the world.
The media I used to depict war in my hexagon, were three pictures and words describing the horrors of war. One of my pictures was an American flag, which shows that the U.S. is one of the countries hit the hardest because of war in their time as an independent nation. I also put a picture of assault rifle in my hexagon because that is one of the weapons that kills the most people in the world. The final picture I put was of a soldier saluting his fallen comrades in coffins heading back to the U.S. I put this picture because it shows how many people just a few dead soldiers can affect, if you look to the side you can see many people standing there, and that’s probably not even half of the people there. Lastly, I put words describing what happens during, and after of war. All of these words show what happens to the families of fallen soldiers, and the countries that have been hit by war.

I really liked how you used the red backround, it really made your hexagon stand out and potrayed your global issue very well.

The picture of the deceased soldiers returning home from war was extremely powerful.
